Fatal Rail Accident

Plaque reads:

On Friday September 1997 at approximately 1.15 pm a high speed Swansea to Paddington train collided with a freight train at Southall.
7 people were killed and 139 injured.
This stone gives thanks to all the emergency services, British Transport Police and members of the Southall community who courageously gave comfort, support and sympathy to the injured and dignity to the dead.
